(2-Day on-site. Instructor led workshop)
In its simplest form Project Management is all about making promises and keeping promises. And promises are more likely to be kept if they are made according to the team’s capability. This course focuses on the fundamental process and street-smarts necessary for project success.

In this training workshop students will gain:

  • A fundamental knowledge of the project process according to the Project Management Institute's PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge)
  • An understanding of the role and responsibilities of the project manager
  • An understanding of the role of project management in working with functional management and the Project Management Office.
  • Gain practical insights and techniques for driving the project to successful completion.

(1-Day on-site. Instructor led workshop)
Today, the most common problems companies are citing are:

  • Resources over-committed - Resources are double and triple-booked, thus causing projects to come in late and over-budget
  • Inadequate reporting - so early warning of missed milestones is unavailable
  • Inadequate Prioritization - every idea is priority 1, resulting in a complete lack of discipline
It's no wonder most projects take twice the time estimated, and that many are canceled before completion. In this workshop we present a framework for establishing a solid, disciplined method of identifying, qualifying, approving and executing business and technology initiatives.

(2-Day on-site. Instructor led workshop)
In this two-day workshop, students will be trained in the fundamentals of Microsoft Project that are absolutely necessary to effectively manage projects. Too often, the software becomes the focus of the project, preventing the team from managing the critical success factors. Students will become trained to apply the essential functions of Microsoft Project in a way that enables the greatest degree of control of the project outcomes.

(2-hours via Web)
In this 2-hour overview, we will quickly get the student understanding the fundamentals of exercising Turbo Project’s essential features. While the process of project management is addressed, the emphasis of this course is on tool application and "how-to's" in using TurboProject successfully. Instructor demonstrations and hands-on class exercises provide reinforcement of key competencies.

The 2-hour overview is designed to:
  • Teach the fundamental principles of planning, scheduling, and tracking projects
  • Provide instruction in the basic functions and features of the Turbo Project system
  • Acquaint the student with location and purpose of all menus, dialog boxes, tables and windows
  • Equip the student to input, update, model, and extract critical project data using Turbo Project
  • Enable the student to Plan, Schedule, and Post Progress using TurboProject
